In that twilight between day and night, as rain pelts the ground and storm clouds shroud the sky, childhood friends Subaru Kuramoto and Kouta Kakishima hide away in an old tram car. Though Kouta has recently become popular, the two never fail to meet on these stormy days, and for an hour and a half, Subaru will gently read to him. This is all because of a certain promise they made long ago.
